Box Newels are designed for grand stairways in larger homes with a wider tread. The larger size and decorative trim standout from smaller 3" to 4-1/4" turned newels. We carry box newels made in America, as well as make custom designed newels in our production shop in Chesterfield, MO. The 4091 Box construction features a 6-1/4" footprint or base, with a 4-3/4" throat or neck size. All 4091 box newels are constructed with solid hardwood materials and a locking miter design to last a lifetime.
